Modern computers have a chip called a TPM chip or Trusted Platform Module. It makes your system more secure. If your system has a TPM chip, the operating system you installed on it, such as Windows 10, can use it and prevent system tampering.

Trusted platform module repair failed

Until Windows 10, the TPM chip was optional hardware. Come to Windows 11, you must have a chip, or you will not be able to install a new operating system. If you have a TPM chip but it suddenly stopped working, try the fixes below.

1. Uninstall the health check application

2. Remove the TMP chip

You can remove the TPM chip and restore its default settings. Having said that, you need to be very careful about this fix. This can lead to data loss, and Microsoft recommends that users back up their data before using it.

  1. Open Windows Defender.
  2. Click Device protection.
  3. Click Security circuit details.
  4. Click Safety circuit troubleshooting.
  5. Click Clear the Trusted Platform Module.

3. Prepare the TPM

TPM malfunction can be resolved by preparing the TPM.

  1. press The Win + R hotkey opens the driving screen.
  2. In the competition box Come in tpm.msc.
  3. Click on it Prepare the TPM option in the right column.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Note: The Prepare TPM option may be grayed out / not available. This means that the TPM is used and activated. You have to delete it in this case.

4. Disable Hyper-V

If you don’t need to use virtual machines, you can afford to shut down Hyper-V. This can correct the TPM malfunction.

  1. Open Control panel.
  2. Mene Programs> Uninstall a program.
  3. In the left column Click Enable or disable Windows features.
  4. In the window that opens deselect Hyper V.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Restart the system.
