Huawei today announced the arrival of several products in France. Two of them are smartphones. There’s the P50 Pro, the company’s new flagship and photography specialist. It is offered 1199 euros. And there’s the P50 Pocket Edition, a direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 3. It is offered 1299 euros in the standard version and 1599 euros in the “premium” version. The Huawei Watch GT Runner arrives in France for € 300
The third product reported by Huawei ‘s French subsidiary is See GT Runner. The watch is not exactly new, as it was made official in China in November 2021. It is a fairly “middle-class” model with a fairly high selling price. In fact, Huawei is selling it € 299.99.
We are not in the same niche as the Apple Watch. But Huawei has been set from the start to Samsung’s “regular” Galaxy Watch 4 (rather than the classic version). It is also more expensive than the Watch GT 3 (€ 229 and € 249) but cheaper than the Huawei Watch 3 (starting at € 369).
If the GT Watch Runner is available in two colors, black and silver, there is only one size: 46 mm, such as Watch GT3. It has a similar display: round and 1.43 inch AMOLED (resolution 326 pixels per inch). It also uses a standard bracelet attachment system. The case is clearly waterproof (certification 5 ATM).
Watch GT Runner: new heart rate monitor and new GPS
On the back you will find a new generation heart rate monitor called TrueSeen 5.0. It also acts as an oximeter to measure the level of oxygen in the blood. On the other hand, the watch loses the watch GT3’s thermometer. You’ll also find classic environmental sensors throughout the battery (yet without an altimeter), including a stand-alone GPS. Huawei says it is changed the position of the GPS antennas to improve signal quality.
Inside the case is 4 GB of storage for the operating system. Obviously it isHarmonyOS which you can also find in Watch 3 and Watch GT 3. Huawei’s operating system is increasingly integrating sports software. The Chinese company reports more than 100, great classics (hiking, running, triathlon, rowing, biking, swimming) and more modern sports like HIIT.
The Watch GT Runner benefits from two weeks of independence
Another important point: the battery. It offers the same capacity as the GT3: 455 mAh. Huawei promises independence 14 days (permanent heart rate measurement), which is much better than open system clocks (Galaxy Watch 4, Oppo Watch, Apple Watch). On the network side, you don’t have a WiFi connection, unlike the Apple Watch, though Bluetooth (in this version 5.2) for connecting a smartphone (HarmonyOS, Android and iOS) and NFC to the nearest payment.
