Best Amazon Prime Video series for April 2021
The attack of the Titans
Attack on Titan is THE anime phenomenon of recent months. After a stint on Netflix, the first 3 seasons land on Prime Video. The series revolves around Eren Jäger, a young resident of Shiganshina. In the year 850, in this district, it was more than a century since no one saw Titans, these gigantic creatures who prey mercilessly on humans. To protect themselves, they hid behind huge walls. Unfortunately, that same year, a Titan resurfaced and broke the wall erected around the city. Many other Titans then interfere in the city to cause carnage. Eren takes it upon himself to protect his fellow citizens, but it turns out he’s hiding a heavy secret.
After 15 seasons and over 300 episodes, do we still need to present Criminal Minds? The series, created in 2005, focuses on the work and life of a team of FBI profilers. Their goal: to track down criminals across the United States by following clues allowing them to trace their personality. Each agent has his own specialty and, over the seasons, has been entitled to his own development. This final season, for its part, promises to be rich in twists and turns.

Welcome to Gattaca
Released in 1997, Bienvenue à Gattaca is a true science fiction classic. Inspired by Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, the film describes a society where the genome of an individual determines his profession, his chances of marriage, in short, his entire professional and personal life. Tired of constant inequalities and dubious corporate practices, Vincent Freeman (Ethan Hawke) decides to borrow the DNA of Jérôme Eugène Morrow (Jude Law), former swimming champion. He then gains access to the highest strata of society. There he meets Irene Cassini (Uma Thurman), officially genetically perfect, but suffering from heart problems. Vincent will have to be very careful not to reveal his true identity.
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
In this 3rd installment of the saga, John Connor, son of Sarah Connor, still has not got rid of the threat of Skynet. While he does odd jobs, two Terminator burst in from the future to bring down the next Resistance leaders. Then begins a merciless hunt for John, who can benefit from the help of Arnold Schwarzenegger, determined to be just as badass as in the first two episodes. While Terminator 3 is by no means the most acclaimed movie in the series, we guarantee you’ll have a great time watching it.
Spider-Man, Sam Raimi’s Trilogy
Long before the MCU launched and Tom Holland took over, there was Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. Started in 2002, it takes the original story of the spider-man, played by Tobey Maguire, as well as his romance with Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst). From the assassination of his uncle Ben to the legendary fights against the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus, the trilogy is full of cult moments that marked the superhero films of the time, to leading the way to many future Marvel films. Classics to discover and rediscover without moderation.
