For several months now, Snapchat has been trying to give its content producers the means to professionalize themselves. Either generate revenue from the content and make a living from it. This new measure comes when Snapchat’s boss expressed satisfaction with Spotlight’s success, an application released in November 2020 that is modeled on TikTok’s operations.

Today, the CEO assures that his company will still pay several million dollars a month to the makers of Spotlight’s most popular videos. According to him Snapchat paid the authors a total of as much as $ 250 million in 2021.
