Android Lollipop is now gone and material design is a very real thing and it happens. You can read more about Android L’s many new features here. Material design will change the look of Android apps soon and in honor of simple design here is a great weather app for you; Weatheroux⁺. We’re checking out so many weather apps that we could probably make a list of the top ten, but each one has been selected for some great feature that the user can like. We love the design and simple implementation of Weatheroux⁺. It is operated and navigated at the touch of a finger. If it’s not simple and insignificant, I don’t know what it is.

Launch the app and enter your current location. Weatheroux⁺ only gives you the weather in the city and does not automatically detect your current location. Finding the right city also takes a little time once you’ve typed the name, but it’s smooth from there.

With Weatheroux⁺, you need to know where the points of contact are. Tap a weather forecast where it is clear or cloudy and it will move to the next day’s weather forecast. You can get a forecast for the next two days by tapping it.

At the bottom of the screen you will get a temperature reading that you can tap to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Be sure to press the numeric value of the unit and not other weather information. Tap the weather to get more information, such as high and low temperatures for today.

Weatheroux⁺ changes the background color to match the weather types you encounter. Red and orange are reserved for clear and / or sunny days and blue for rainy days. The app also gives you suggestions on what to do that day, such as going on a picnic. Sometimes it reminds you to take your umbrella. The app has no ads, but it also doesn’t have a widget for your home or lock screen.
